How do I enter FirstOntario Concert Hall and The Studio?

FirstOntario Concert Hall:

1 Summers Lane, Hamilton Ontario, L8P 4Y3

The entrance to FirstOntario Concert Hall (formerly Hamilton Place)  is located off of Summers Lane at the corner of Main Street East and Summers Lane.

The entrance to The Studio is located off of Summers Lane between FirstOntario Concert Hall and the Hamilton Convention Centre.

Where do I go if I need assistance in the building?

You can receive assistance by contacting any member of our Event Staff (usher/ticket taker) or visiting us at our guest relations desk at any of our venues.

How old must children be to attend an event without being accompanied by an adult?

Children 13 years of age and under MUST be accompanied by a guardian 16 years or older when attending all events.

Can I bring my camera to FirstOntario Concert Hall and The Studio events?

Camera policies are subject to change for each event and are dictated by the artist/artist management. Please see our policies page for our standard camera policy.

What time to doors open to the public for each event?

Typically doors open 1 hour prior to each event. Please be sure to check out the event page on our website to ensure you know the correct time.  

Can I leave the venue to take a smoke break?

FirstOntario Concert Hall and The Studio are smoke-free buildings and as such the use of cigarettes and electronic cigarettes are prohibited within the buildings spaces. Please note that FirstOntario Concert Hall has a strict no re-entry policy. Once you have entered the venue, in-and-out privileges are not permitted. Guests who exit the facility for any reason — including to smoke will not be allowed back inside.

Anyone found smoking inside FirstOntario Concert Hall and The Studio building will be ejected and may be subject to the maximum fines as per Ontario’s Smoke-Free Act

At what age do I need to purchase my child a ticket?

Children under the age of two years old, do not require a ticket (unless otherwise stated) but must sit on a guardian’s lap. Please check the show information on ticketmaster and the event page on our website to get specific ticketing details for children.

Why are my photos being taken?

Events and happenings at any one of our Oak View Group(OVG) venues are photographed and videotaped for future promotional use by employees of OVG to be used in print, television, radio, etc. Events are photographed and videotaped to be used by OVG employees in real-time on social media sites, FirstOntarioConcertHall.ca, reports, and other publications. Please note when entering the building you may be photographed or videotaped. 

Do You Have Phone Charging Stations?

In partnership with Brick, guests can now rent a charger from FirstOntario Concert Hall to get their mobile devices back up to 100% battery life.

Renting a charger is simple; follow the directions at one of the units.

Can I bring a backpack into FirstOntario Concert Hall or The Studio events?

To expedite entry, fans are strongly encouraged to leave all bags at home. No bags larger than 8” x 6” x 8” (20cm x 15cm x 20cm) will be permitted. All bags will be searched. 

 

Is there an ATM at the venue, or can I pay with cash at concessions?

FirstOntario Concert Hall is a cashless venue. Interac Debit, Visa, and Mastercard will be accepted at all points of sale.

May I bring my own snacks, food, or beverages into the building?

We have food and beverage available at FirstOntario Concert Hall, and as such, outside food and beverage are not permitted into the venue. Grab your treats from our concessions, located seconds away from your seats and available on all levels of the venue.
