Important Entry Info - Summers Lane Access

FirstOntario Concert Hall's Main Street lobby doors are open despite ongoing construction on Summers Lane. The Main Street entrance remains the recommended entry point for all guests, including those requiring accessible access

Driving

From Toronto, take the QEW Niagara toward Hamilton. Continue onto Highway 403 West, then take the Main Street East/York Boulevard exit. Follow Main Street East into downtown Hamilton, then turn left onto Summers Lane. FirstOntario Concert Hall is located at 1 Summers Lane, adjacent to Hamilton City Hall.

From Niagara Falls or the US border, take the QEW Toronto toward Hamilton. Continue onto the Burlington Street exit, then follow signs toward the downtown core via York Boulevard. Turn left onto Bay Street North, then right onto Main Street West and left onto Summers Lane. FirstOntario Concert Hall is located at 1 Summers Lane, adjacent to Hamilton City Hall.

From London or communities west of Hamilton, take Highway 403 East toward Hamilton. Exit at Main Street East/York Boulevard, then follow Main Street East into downtown Hamilton. Turn left onto Summers Lane. FirstOntario Concert Hall is located at 1 Summers Lane, adjacent to Hamilton City Hall.

Parking

Please note there is no dedicated on-site parking at FirstOntario Concert Hall. Guests are encouraged to park at one of the many municipal parking garages and surface lots located within a short walking distance of the venue.

We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking and walking to the venue. Rideshare and public transit options are also encouraged for convenient access on event days.

Accessible parking spaces are available in nearby municipal parking facilities. Guests requiring accessible access may also be dropped off at the passenger loading area located near the venue entrance on Summers Lane.

There is no vehicle access to the adjacent parking lot from Main Street. Vehicles accessing venue parking must enter via King Street. Guests parking in the garage can walk through the garage to access the venue.

GO Transit: Getting to FirstOntario Concert Hall is easy with GO Transit! West Harbour GO Station on the Lakeshore West line is approximately a 15–20 minute walk from the venue. Guests can also take a connecting HSR bus into downtown Hamilton. Hamilton GO Centre is located just a 10-minute walk from FirstOntario Concert Hall, making it another convenient option for guests travelling by GO Transit. Plan your trip at gotransit.com.

HSR (Hamilton Street Railway): Several HSR bus routes stop within a short walk of FirstOntario Concert Hall along Main Street, King Street, MacNab Street, and Bay Street, providing convenient service from across Hamilton.

Biking/Walking: FirstOntario Concert Hall is easily accessible on foot from anywhere in downtown Hamilton. Bike racks are available near the venue, and Hamilton Bike Share stations are located throughout the downtown core, offering a convenient option for guests cycling to the venue.

Hamilton Bike Share has several convenient hubs located within a short walk of FirstOntario Concert Hall, including stations at Bay Street & Market Street, York Boulevard & MacNab Street, and throughout the downtown core. Download the Social Bicycles (SoBi) app on iOS or Android to create or log in to your account, locate nearby hubs, and check bike availability.

Signing out a bike is as easy as scanning a QR code. At the end of your trip, simply return and lock your bike to any Hamilton Bike Share hub using the built-in U-lock. Bikes may also be secured to a standard bike rack or other approved object for a $1 convenience fee.

Coming from within Hamilton? FirstOntario Concert Hall is easily accessible via Hamilton's growing network of cycling infrastructure, including nearby protected bike lanes on Bay Street, Hunter Street, and Cannon Street.
